Galvanized vs. Annealed Baling Wire

Galvanized baling wire — typically hot dipped — offers corrosion resistance and is the standard choice for outdoor agricultural use, including hay baling where the bales will be stored outside or in damp conditions. Black annealed baling wire is softer and more ductile, preferred for indoor recycling operations where flexibility and ease of tying are more important than corrosion resistance. We carry both types in secondary grades.
